Service Description
Our Road Safety Program is aimed at improving your preventative and defensive driving skills. Becoming a better defensive driver will assist you as a road user to avoid being involved in a vehicle accident. The intention is to raise the standard of driving, regardless of current skill and ability. This full day, practical safe driving program is conducted on public roads with a maximum of 3 students in the vehicle. Learning Outcomes: - Understand the importance of driving at work - Know the hazards and risks associated with driving at work - The ability to apply safe driving methods in accordance with World's Best Practice and Australian Road Law Program content includes: - Vehicle and Driving Preparation - Vehicle Checks, Seating, steering, and mirror set up - Roadcraft - Braking and principles, early, linear, threshold and split surface - Line and cornering principles, approach, entry, apex, and exit - Travelling distances, safety buffers, driving to conditions, speed limits low ground clearance, high centre of gravity - Rural Driving and Wildlife, Adverse conditions - FAQ Road Law and Hierarchy of giving way - Unsealed surfaces - Correct gear selection, area of best grip, surface changes - Suitable speeds for cruising, cornering, and intersections - Safe positioning, threshold, and emergency braking - Overtaking - Correct positioning, forward observations & hazards - Planning for long load, oversize and road trains and discussion of legality of manoeuvres - Positive overtaking procedures & repositioning - Slow Speed Manoeuvring - Parking, reversing, driving around carparks and depots - Workplace Policies - Journey planning, fatigue management, mobile phone, Alcohol and Drugs, - Technology in Vehicles One vehicle required per booking. 1 instructor : up to 3 participants For more information, or to book your young driver into this program, please contact Harrow Bush Nursing Centre (03) 5588 2000

Cancellation Policy • Outside 7 Business days – No charge to client • Inside 7 Business days – 50% of the total course investment to be charged to the client • Inside 3 Business days – 100% of the total course investment to be charged to the client • Should any travel have been booked, any fee that ADI occurs for cancellation is to be charged on to the Client
